The Dead House is a creepy, twisty, mind messing, book. Carly Johnson is a girl who may have a mental illness. Her parents are dead and she can't remember what happened. The book tells you straight off that there was a fire, three died, and Carly disappeared. Add in a weird, complicated romance, some Scottish witchcraft, a diary that comes to life, some group hysteria, and you have yourself a crazy train adventure.

So, my thoughts. First of all the main character is unreliable. She's two different people, in one body, at least that's what they say. When Carly, the daytime half, disappears, Katie, is left on a desperate mission to bring her back.

This book is unique in that it's laid out in diary form, so it's all from Kaitlyn's view point. Added in are 'video pieces' that are written out for the reader, police interview documents, notes between Carly and Katie, and sessions between Katie and her doctor.

This is a great book with some serious plot twists. My only gripe..... Was it real or was it all in her head? I just want to know. I need to know. Was this a girl who devolved into madness or was this a girl possessed?

Appreciating the commitment you put into your site and detailed information you offer. It's nice to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the same out of date rehashed material. Excellent read! I've bookmarked your site and I'm including your RSS feeds to my Google account.

It sounds confusing. Nevertheless these are actually the kind of stories I like. I like not knowing things. It adds to the suspense. I think the characters are very interesting. It can make the readers think more. For those who like exact details, they may find the story lacking. For me, I like creating stories within stories in my head so I guess this is fine.
